Street Apartment Renovation
Shelter Care has completed the re-roofing of our
7th St. apartment building and we are
currently in the process of remodeling the
kitchens.This building houses four of our
Transitional units for homeless families.
Through a grant received from FEMA, funding was
appropriated to replace the aging roof and to
remove the old mismatched cabinets which have
been in the apartments for many years. The old
configuration left very little storage room or
counter space for our mothers to work in.
We have been working with Scandroli
Construction to complete the project and
should have a much better and safer working
space for our families to serve up meals.
